Tom began his career in real estate in 2001 after retiring from Nucor Steel in Jewett, Texas. Prior to Nucor he taught Vocational Agriculture after receiving his BS degree from Texas A & M University in May 1970 with teaching certification also in Chemistry and Biology. He did his Masters work at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas while teaching in San Augustine. He and his wife of 47 years have owned property in the Groesbeck and DFW metroplex area for 50 + years. They have 2 daughters-- one currently the associate dean for the College of Health Sciences at TWU in Denton and the other is General Counsel for the SBA in San Antonio. Tom is an avid outdoorsman and has been involved in ranching , property development and improvement, and residential construction and renovation his entire life. A community minded individual, he is currently serving on the Groesbeck ISD school board, South Limestone County Water Supply Board, and on the Martin LutherKing Memorial Garden Board while being a strong supporter of FFA programs and Limestone County Fair. His background in industry, farming, ranching and housing make him a "one of a kind " realtor whose goal is to build relationships
